Default Backup Camera w/ original Nav Display

I have a 2006 SC430. I want to add a backup camera but have it connected to the factory NAV display. I saw on youtube
where someone did this. SO the final result should be a backup camera that shows on the original nav system.

Welcome to Club Lexus.

This is the way I did it...there are other ways too.

This is great. But I was trying to keep all the original equipment without changing the radio. Seems like it would just be a wire that would send video to nav system. but I'm not sure...

I used the NAV Tool video interface module. You just add the NAV Tool module and a camera. I used a license plate camera from Amazon. Here is a link to the NAV Tool RGB unit for more info :

BGW’s methods is more complex since you have to run wires from the trunk to the NAV unit. Using NAV tool or NAVIKS like Floptop or mine is much simpler. It took me about four hours to complete, but I could do it in two if I have to do it again. The instruction is below. Good luck.
