Guys...I don’t think it works that way...the “drain Plug” is used to make sure you have the correct level.

Above the drain plug is a tube. This tube keeps the fluid at a certain level...the level must be set at a certain fluid temp...I might have the procedure...it is not complicated, just a PIA...

It's a closed system, but the tranny still has a drain hole and a fill hole. You may need a manual pump to get the new fluid up into the fill hole. As long as you replace what you removed, the temperature measuring part of the procedure isn't required. If you don't measure it, you need to get the fluid level close, then get the tranny up to temperature (don't have the temp spec off-hand) and then top-off the tranny until fluid flows out the drain hole with the level-tube in place.

It's somewhat confusing because you are using the drain hole as a level indicator. That's the purpose of the level-tube, which can be removed or installed with an Allen wrench through the drain hole. This info is all assuming a closed SC tranny is designed the same as a closed ES tranny. I'll check my SC shop manual to see if it addresses the procedure.

If there is a plug on the side say like a 4 speed trans then I understand. Measure what comes out of drain plug and add same amount into side plug.
