I am slowly working through some small issues on my newly purchased 430. I noticed that the Michelin Sport Tire’s note a 50 psi pressure while the sticker in the door jam calls for 33 pounds. I did a search of posts in this forum but found nothing helpful. Can someone put there provide some insight as to what pressure I should be running. A picture of the tire mounted to the aftermarket wheels is noted below.
Good follow the tire pressures as recommended by Lexus.
Tire Pressure tip: About every six months (when I normally change my oil) I check my tire pressure and notice a drop of 4-5 psi, due to the normal loss of air over time. Thus, whenever I put air in a tire, I put in 2 lbs over the specified pressure as indicated on the door jam. This way, by the time I put in air again, six months later, I'm only 2-3 lbs under spec. It helps with attaining even tire wear as I'm more often running closer to spec as opposed to putting in the specified pressure, and running below spec most of the time.
I keep my tires at 34lbs. I check them about once a month and if they are down a little I unreel the air hose hanging on the wall and bring it back up to spec. I also do that with my LS 460L although I can see what the psi is in each tire on the LS on the dash. I wish the SC had the same display function as the LS.
