Automatic headlights

Driving at dusk the automatic headlights take too long to turn on seems to be a problem on all Lexus cars unlike my GM car when it sees dusk turns right on

what kind of Lexus do you have?
I know on my SC430 I can adjust the auto headlights to come on sooner

Clean up the sensor. It's on the left corner.

If the sensor is dirty wouldn't that make it come on earlier not later? It would think it is getting less light. The OP wants them to come on earlier.

Yeah, you're right. In this case, he can use Techstream to turn it on earlier, like BGW said.
