Default Mark Levinson No Sound and no navigation DVD

I have a 2002 SC 430 with Mark Levinson and navigation I have no sound but the display works and I do have power to the antenna.
I also have the "no disc detected error" message and when I checked the message is correct there is no disk.
I tried to run the diagnostic but it doesn't seem to work.
Is the navigation disk necessary to run diagnostics?

It is possible that the sound is turned all the way down. A lot of owners use their set button (which is a user control set for the volume) as a mute. Hold the raise volume button for a while to see if the sound returns. If that doesn't work, check to see if the amp fuse is blown.

So this is a semi-common problem in the SC. The amp goes out and the nav and radio stop working.

You are smart to check the fuse first. I *THINK* it is under the hood marked RADIO #1

Usually people take this time to update their stereo system to a more modern aftermarket system.

Others send their amp out for repair.

Most just buy a used one off ebay.

I heard you want to go with an amp from the latter years

I checked the fuse and it was fine. I ordered a replacement from Ebay. Hopefully the Ebay amplifier resolves my problem.
