Sorry I dont' recall what device it identified. I just powered it up and let the interface discover on its own. Thereafter, nothing else to set in the ASW-TOY-Lex.
All steering wheel control buttons are passed on to the Android. You do have to teach the Android the buttons and their desired function, but all six all work.

The ASWC-TOY-LEX will auto detect for Vehicle -- I believe its 5 LEDS (the ASWC-TOY-LEX will ignore vehicle model, as it's specifically programmed vs the ASWC-1).

As with most Universal SWC -- set it to Pioneer if you manually set it, but it should autodetect. I do wish it worked properly for my 2008.

try Beatsonic, I installed two, my 2002 and 2007 SC430s, works perfect on both.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am all in for this. Which one should I buy? with ISO cable, or with universal cable?

Universal. SC430 does not have an ISO harness and you'd end up cutting or rewiring the CarlaOER's ISO connectors. May as well get the universal and reduce the amount of work.

Thanks!

I need one more thing to check before ordering one. I am not sure if I still need CarPlay Dongle with this option, which says CarPlay. It can mean either it supports Carplay with a dongle, or without a dongle. I asked the question to the seller but no response so far.

You need the dongle. It merely means it will support with addition of their CarPlay dongle.

the manager says 4GWifi version has a built-in CarPlay module. I ordered the unit only. Hope he is right. Finger-crossed.

If they say 4gWiFi version has it built in, then theirs is the most authoritative info on that particular version.

Great thread and plenty of information…I may have missed it but do any of these devices read the TPMS?

I looked for one when I was researching. They read their own type TPMS (I found there are two variations), but not the OEM sensors.

Why don't you install into the stock monitors body?

I'm getting ready to swap my nav unit, but still deciding what to swap with. Do you think an extra 0.4" of depth would be a problem? The android units are about 2.1" deep, these Alpine units are 2.5":

How tight was the mounting depth?
