Cool Pictures of my SC430 with new rims

Finally got rid of the pieplates & runflats. Installed new rims/tires with 4 new pictures posted:

Not the top of the line wheels some of you suggest, but I like the new looks & are happy with them !!

VERY NICE!

... and I'm not saying that just because I'll soon be a fellow G35 Coupe owner. Those, and the HRE's, are some of the nicest wheels I've seen on this car. Really complement the shape. Well done!

Awesome. Definitely a huge improvement over the pie plates.

Great pictures; beautiful wheels. Do the new tires improve the ride and handling? Did you keep the tire pressure sensors? What did you do about the spare tire issue--fix-o-flat? I'm considering replacing the runflats; I have just over 3,000 miles on my '03 SC430. Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments guys !!

The tires do improve the ride & handling, especially over rail roads, but they're sports tires nonetheless so you won't feel as luxurious & quiet as in a LS, but more supple than with the runflats - won't give you the jolts over potholes etc.
These BBS wheels do work with the tire sensors, & I think all those offered with this car in the tire-rack website do also: http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...&autoYear=2003

Some of the HRE's do work with the tire sensors, but on many wheels that don't have the right valve stem hole, you can "band" the sensors to the middle of the wheel and use a regular valve stem. The HRE's are nice but very expensive though,. & I'm not as fanatic on wheels yet to be spending that kind of dough just for a set of rims , ~ CAD$10,000 with taxes just for the wheels alone.

You can also get more info in http://www.wheelexperts.com/

I choose to go without a spare tire for now & use the Lexus Roadside Assistance in case of emergency, but may order a doughnut spare to put in the trunk just for a weekend getaway only. I doubt I'll ever use this car for an extended trip across the continent.

Sexy SC,

Man, those look good!!!! I really like the way they look on the car. I had my doubts, but that is a fantastic look!!! I just ordered some Pilot sport A/S tires. I'm glad to hear they make the ride better. The run craps have worn out my kidneys being so bumpy. Nice Job.

Sexy SC,

Awesome pics. The wheels are great, but I really love the color of your car!! The trees and everything in the background with the color of you car is fantastic. Have you Zaino'd it?? It looks good. That Zaino made my Indigo Ink look really good. Congrats again!!!!

Thank you Doc C, I wish I had, but we had an unusually dry Summer here & we are under water restriction where you can get a fine for even hosing your car, but businesses are exempted, so I took it to a touchless car wash for the very first time, before I took those pics. The result aren't t too bad & it looks pretty good under the sun.
