Default Motor Mount Question 02

So, I have new tires, suspension etc. I have a cracked Brake dust cover on the passenger side that makes a terrible racket. But I also have a clunk or bump or something that seems to be coming from the right side and is only detected at lower speeds. It's has only made the noise when rough roads or speed bumps are present. Since I have replaced all of my front suspension (and rear for that matter) plus struts, and I have taken her back in for a 1000 mile checkup just to make sure everything is tight, it made me wonder if the noise I hear occasionally isn't a motor or transmission mount. I haven't had time to look at them because I actually just thought of it, (even if a visual would tell me) to see if they are broken, loose etc. And I'm certain someone posted a method to test the mounts but I'm being lazy and just reaching out to my fellow owners of what symptoms they noticed before they had to replace their motor/transmission mounts? That's it. Thanks.

Paul

Hi Paul,
It depends on where the sound is coming from. Brakes can make this sound when the return spring isn't doing its job. It can clunk even when the car isn't in motion, just by sitting down into the car.
You can see some of the mounts from under the car, though you will have to remove the engine undercover. If the bushings are all cracked up or split or falling apart, then replace them.
