2005 SC430 phone Bluetooth issue
I purchased a 2005 SC430 back in November 2020. It has Bluetooth for phone calls and when I connect my iPhone 11 Pro it shows connected successfully however when I make or receive a phone call I cannot hear the other end. But they can hear me. The mic in the car is working and all my speakers work for music no problem. Anyone know the Malfunction and how to fix this?

These issues are hard to pin down. If I have to guess, it is the phone itself. I had similar issues with my 2006 when I switched to a Motorola phone. My Samsung S7 worked fine but the Motorola didn't. So I bought a Samsung S8 and have had no problems since. The Motorola said it was connected and all my speakers and mic are working but the phone just had issues. Again, the S8 worked right from the start and has been working for about 2 years.

I think it's going to come down to how the phone recognizes the bluetooth connection and identifies whether it is an audio devices with both input and output. I don't know a way to manually check what type of device is being recognized on an iPhone.
I would try to pair my laptop to the car and then check my laptop's audio input and output sound options and see if a bluetooth device is available for both input and output. That would at least check the bluetooth module for bidirectional audio capability.
Then again, Lexus might have configured the bluetooth model to only pair with phones.

Forget the SC phone and NAV system, use your phone instead. There are many options. Replace your radio with modern unit with Bluetooth capability is one. You can easily achieve the purpose by use a Bluetooth FM that plugged in the cigarette lighter socket, or like me, use the cassette adapter.

Is your bluetooth capability an aftermarket one? I ask because I thought that capability did not come stock until 2006 and after? If it did come stock, then I'd suggest looking at the settings on your phone for the fix. Our 06 will sync with both our iPhones - and we've had models from gen 6, 7, 10, 11 and now the 12 Pro.

Phone conversation only. No music.

LOL! I was envisioning a cluster of physical buttons that Lexus had managed to add somewhere.
Didn't think of the Nav screen.
[EDIT: Wife's reaction.... "OMG, the pixels! It's like PacMan era."]
