This is the replacement P/N:LE27060-50280-84

The paperwork states that it is a remanufactured Alternator.

Only if you draw more power. There is more rotating mass and in theory slightly less efficiency but doubt it is measurable. On the flip side MPGs might go up due to cleaner more consistent power.

A higher amp alternator could simply use a smaller pulley to spin faster, to generate more power. This would result in a greater engine load and result in less MPG's (again, theoretically).

You're not responsible for extra labor hours for standard jobs. Dealerships can decide to charge less if they think it's an easy job and want your business, but they're supposed to follow the labor manual.

Also, add some dye to your oil and power steering fluid. If your alternator lasted 60k miles, it should last 160k miles. I would bet you have a leak.

Well, it apparently lasted 126 K miles. And as far as how they charge? I have NEVER had a shop show me the labor manual. They may have just followed the rules, but thats better than most places.
