Hi everyone, I’m new in the forum. My 2010 sc430
open/close button didn’t have any light and I can’t open or close the roof. Brought it to the dealer and the code is B2509 and They said that I need a New ECM top module part #8972024020 and they I don’t have the part in the stock anymore. Is there anybody know where I can find the part or how to fix the problem please help thank you so much ( All the Ecm on eBay is 8972024010 for sc430 from 02-08, my is 2010)

I don't think it is the actual ECM. I think it is the motor in your right hinge. (That's what the code means)
Your best bet is to google "Clublexus SC430 B2509" and you will find tons of info. Read through it and if you have any questions, come back and ask them.
Ultimately I think you need to change out the two hinge assemblies in your convertible top. That is what Lexus does when they get that error.
Other people may recommend that you just change the motor. That might work, but not how Lexus does it.

If you are curious, here is the Dealer Checklist for your error code. You can tell the dealer made it all the way to the bottom and recommended the ECU even though I think they should have stopped at Step #3

You should read the entire post while you are at it:

By the way, if you drive fast over a speed bump, you may temporarily fix your problem, but it will most likely come back.

I guess his roof did not open and he drove to the dealer in that state.

Its pretty simple to change out the motor. You just have to modify an allen wrench (cut the short bend down) so you can get to one particular bolt. I would never bother with replacing the entire hinge assembly. But he should clean and lube both hinges. Mine was intermittent for awhile until I changed mine out. That was my first top problem. The second was ny package tray motor which ended up being fixed by taking a screwdriver and a wrench tapping a few times on the motor to reset the brushes. I haven't had any other issues in about a year now I guess.
