Valet button probably just got bumped.

Be sure to change the struts on both sides.

if you are at the point of changing struts you might want to look into Meister R coilovers which are now back in stock.

Red flashing light is a good news because it indicates one of two things: valet button push in and turno cover not in place. No light, however, means trouble.
