Default Fix it?

First thing I noticed was what the '04 LS has and the '06 SC does not have.

1) No parking assist detectors. Can they be added?

2) No rear camera. Can it be added?

3) No built in RADAR detector. Can it be added?

4) No Rain Detector to turn on wipers. Can it be added?

Try the search bar. I think you'll be happy with what you find. I don't know of any car that came or comes with a radar detector from the factory but yes it can be added. Search that one as well. There was a guy who had one built in on an LS 460.

My 04 LS-430 has the RADAR detector. So well hidden I only know where the controls are. Maybe dealer installed.
I tried the search bar. That is impossible to use. Gives thousands of references to threads that have nothing to do with the search terms. I will live without items if I have to use the search bar to find the solutions.

I get your frustration with the search bar, it does take some digging sometimes.

Everything you mentioned can be found as an aftermarket solution to any car, including our SC430's.
The question is, will you be happy with that solution?
I added back up sensors and a rear camera to my 2003 Toyota Sequoia because I was changing the original radio to an aftermarket one with GPS.
The new head unit came with the camera, I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality and clarity.
The sensors on the other hand have given me problems as soon as I installed them, too sensitive at times and they work intermittently had to turn them off because I got annoyed.
Good luck

2. Can be easily done. Many of us have.
The rest, I don’t know. I like to add a blind spot monitor. It's been done. Don’t know about the complexity.

Yes. I know that aftermarket solutions exist, but I was hoping to add sensors and backup camera to the existing circuitry since I assume that the computers are the same. But maybe not the programing. Especially the rain sensor. I really needed it on the trip home. It rained every day. I guess I could have left the top open and my face would have worked....LOL
OH, on that subject, is their programing to prevent you from opening or closing the top if the car is moving, or is it just up to you to not do stupid things?
I did find that the button next to the fuel cap button, on which there is a strange marking, is for opening the trunk. And if the trunk is unlatched the top will not go down. Good idea. But I wish that button had better markings.....LOL

Radar detector is likely a K40 which was a dealer installed (not OEM Lexus) option. My old GS400 had that.

You can't just put generic stuff in the site-wide search and expect to get anything useful back.

Use advanced search
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php

Point at the SC430 forum ONLY by selecting it in the 'search in forums' list
Put the keywords you are looking for in the 'Search by keyword' field and then start with search titles only.

Use alternatives for example not just 'rear camera', also use backup camera and reverse camera as keywords to search for

Search for parking assist as keyword in the SC430 forum results example, you try the rest

The top will not go up or down if the car is in motion. That’s intended design. Some people have tried to bypass this safety function. I think that’s not wise at all. If you want to know your SC better, read this:

Yes, it would be very unwise to disable that safety feature, especially since the "Close" button for the data screen is so close to the "Close" button for the top. It would be easy to hit the wrong one.

Yes, the radar detector is a K40 according to the paperwork that came with the car. It quit working very good after the left front bumper got hit. Must be somewhere in there. Any idea where???

There is a speed limit for opening/closing the roof, I believe it is under 10 mph.

I believe the speed limit is between 3 & 5 mph.
