Default A fattie or two at the wheel-suspension bottoming

I have a 2002 SC430 w 75k miles, which seems to be bottoming a bit more over road irregularities. When I first got it, I took it for granted what with my wife and I overweight, and using 245 instead of 240 size tires, there was a 'better ride' but perhaps over time, the suspesion seems more bottomy then ever-unless I need a lobotomy.
How does one test shocks/springs? I have tried as well to find out if there is a fix to move the suspension into 2005+ spec, but is that worth it/will it help?

Being almost 20 years old, it wouldn't hurt to just buy new struts at a minimum. If you want to upgrade the performance, get yourself a set of MeisterR coilovers.

Have you checked your tire pressures? Try running them three to five pounds over "door spec" to compensate for a heavier-than-usual load.
