Default Are Tires in short supply??

I have a back order with "MrWheelsDeal" for some wheels I want. They are on backorder because the manuf says it will be a 6 week wait till the ship.

So in the meaintime it gives me time to select some tires. I want them mounted before they ship. My original selection was turned down because they were out of stock and "would I like to try some other tire?" So they sent me a list of tires that would fit the wheel, 18x8 . I selected a second choice and got back a note that those were on back order also, "would I like to make another selection?" I picked the third set. Guess what.....not in stock. I feel like I am at a roulette wheel trying to pick a winning number. I asked them to send me a list of tires they could SUPPLY. No answer yet. I have a $300 deposit on the original order but am thinking of dumping them except they are the only place with the wheel I want, a Verses VR626.

Has anyone else had any trouble getting tires or in particular with "MrWheelDeal"?

this is it. I would prefer silver spokes to the black and may end up powder coating them.

Jim

Give this thread a read when you have a minute. I have put the Pirelli P7 Plus on both my 06 SC and my sons 05 SC. I also have the P7 Plus II's on my 2010 LS 460L. Love the tires. Go with the 245/45/18 vs the 245/40/18. Better ride and the spedo is spot on.

Yes, I read it a couple of weeks ago. I dont drive in snow, in fact when it gets real cold I dont drive. It is hard on my cars and it is hard on me. Just stay home sipping a hot toddy and watch the ships go by.

Your wheel choice will be difficult to keep clean.

I had an issue finding a replacement 18" Michelin PS4S. It was out of stock on TireRack and any local store for about a month. A local Discount Tire found one eventually.

Hey Jim, I have used Tire Rack to get wheel & tire combos for my other vehicles. The only issue for our 2006's is that they did not carry our specific TPMS sensors. They do have the ones for the newer vehicles.

Does MrWheelDeal have the right sensors for your '06?

Mr Wheel Deal found the tires I want at another supplier. So now we are waiting for the wheels to come in at Versus Racing.

I'm with Wilson2000, cleaning those wheels will be an all day job.
Did you look at Costco? they're doing the $150 off for 4.
