How long did your battery last ?
Gang
Just curious but how many years did your battery last before you had to replace for a new one?
we all know about the drain issue with our SC but if you want to keep your battery a few more
years running strong, get yourself a trickle charger !
I bought a Lexus battery from the dealer and after 5 years of using the trickle charger whenever
I don’t drive my SC , it is still running strong !
What has your experience been like with your battery ?

I've gone through 3-4 batteries in the past 4 years..
But most of it was literally due to the fact that I knew there was a drain, and didn't care. Only drove it in the summer so it didn't really matter to me.
I actually put a quick disconnect on my battery negative pole, and if I'm not driving it for at least 1 week - I kill it, trickle charge in winter.

I have gone thru 3 batteries in 6 years of ownership of my SC. The first one, an AAA battery, did not know how long it was in the car cuz no date code, died in Nov of 2016. I replaced it with Costco Interstate battery and it lasted til May of 2019, which was two and half years in the car. Since it’s under three years, Costco replace it with a brand new battery, no charge, and it’s still performing strong after two years in the car. I’m now driving my SC more frequently, 3 or 4 times a week, I expect it will last longer, probably 3-4 years.
Let’s see if I’m right.

If the car is a daily driver, it will last at least 4 years if not more. If it is used for leisure, you need to put it on battery tender for the battery to last 4+ years. Costco batteries are highly recommended.

Same here in Arizona. Some people replace them on a specific interval, because they always seem to die in the Summer when it is 112 degrees outside. Since u know they only last 3 years, makes sense to change them at 2 yrs, 10 months.

My 84 month Lexus battery lasted 62 months in my 2010 LS 460L. I replaced with a Duracell AGM Platinum Battery as a result of the Duracell AGM battery that has been in my 06 SC430 since Jan 2018. My son also has the Duracell AGM in his 05 SC 430.

I got 5 years on my Interstate AGM battery. Generally, I drive it intermittently, not daily. Replaced it with an Optima yellow top less than a year ago. I'll report back when it reaches its end-of-life!
