Your best bet is to find the Lexus dealer (countrywide) with the best price on the specific part you are looking at. Then you take that to the dealer in your home town and in a nice tone ask "Is there anyway you could match this price?" Chances are you will get the same price or at least a discount on the part.

If you have the part number, you can go to the Toyota dealer and order it that way (They don't have the software to look up Lexus parts)

Some Toyota dealers will not source Lexus parts. I've been told that it is some sort of agreement, though not all Toyota dealers have that restriction on them.

Lexus and Toyota have the same part numbers. So if you know what part you need, you can go into toyota with the part number and order it like that. If you don't ask them any questions, they won't ask you any either <wink wink> Sometimes they tell me that they will order it, but not allow me to return it if it is the wrong part.

But if you are not sure, then your local lexus dealer is always a good resource at finding the right part based on your VIN number

I have tried ordering some Lexus parts from some dealers and they turn me back recognizing that it is a Lexus part.

Is there the price differences between Toy and Lexus dealers if they are same part?

HEY! Great question. Turns out a SC430 oil filter (90915YZZD3) costs more at a Toyota dealer than at a Lexus Dealer, even though the same filter fits many different models.

Also note that this is cheaper than any of the aftermarket filters you will find at Oreilley's/Autozone

P.S. I kinda made this comparison turn out for Lexus. The Oil Filter's MSRP price is $5.41 for both Lexus & Toyota. The out the door price depends on the discount the counter guy gives you. I know Bell Lexus gives one of the best discounts on the web, so I used them as one of the examples to skew the results.
