Default Paint protection for the hardtop

First, as a newbie I'm still reading through the various threads - AND - I did try the advanced search method in the sticky section.

So, for those who have DIY waxed, or sealed, or ceramic coated, how did you handle the edges of the hardtop along the fold lines?

And if there is a thread that already covered this, instead of pointing me to it, can you provide a search string that would lead me there -- to cut down on future posts for things already asked and answered.

thanks,
Lee

I’m not sure what do you have in mind but simply open or close your top half way, it should provide exposure of your top so you can wax or coat the edges.

Oneround- are you asking about the seals between the top folds? and how deal with that area?

No. But since you're asking - how best should I address them?

GmanSC hit the nail on the head. I wanted to insure the paint protect rolled over the side of the folds in the top. I had sort of figured I could open it a bit and then apply my product. But I wanted someone with experience to jump in as well in case I was about to make a mistake.

As Gman says just stop your roof half way and you can get to everything.

Thank you Gman.
Couple more pics if you've not seen it before.
