Cool Removing back seat from SC430

We all know that the back seat of the 2002 SC430 is completely useless (for seating). The trunk is mostly useless for storage when the top is down. I am considering removing the back seat entirely and converting that small space to additional storage. It would fit 2 or 3 small bags when traveling. Has anyone done this? How does it look? How did you finish it off to look decent? Photos? Thanks...and yes, it might be a stupid idea.

Many members have done exact what you are talking about. Do a search on the subject.

Hey SSBeach, this is a good idea but might be hard for you to know what exactly to search.

Do a google search for "SC430 Back Seat Shelf" and you should find some results like this:
https://www.google.com/search?client...ack+seat+shelf

As you will see, Lexus had the same idea and even made a kit for it. The kit is long gone though. If you can find one, they are worth thousands.

There are some aftermarket options available.

There was a great picture of a backseat removed and it was a luggage area with metal strips on the flooring...I can't find it to save my life.
Anyone help me out here?
Looked like this Jaguar conversion but was a lighter color and strips on the floor as well.
