Had a problem with my washers. They were hardly spritzing. I disconnected hose by the hood hinge. I blew out the nozzles back through the hose. I then blew out the hose to the tank. 130 psi blew the cap off of the tank and blew the filter into the drive. Had a shower of fluid everywhere and scared the crap out of me. But hey it works great now. In the future I'll do things a little differently.

That is slightly more pressure than the washer pump puts out. But hey a fix is a fix.

A friend and I were trying to clear the fuel line on an old racing go-cart. He used compressed air (as done above) to reverse-clear the line and ended up with a shower of gas from the open tank when the obstruction suddenly cleared. Luckily I was there to get him to a laundry sink where we could flush the fuel from his eyes/ears/nose/mouth. So, don't try this at home. It made a massive mess, and was a dangerous situation!

Regarding reverse clearing the wiper fluid line, I would be concerned with destroying the pump by applying a great amount of back pressure, but it seems to have worked!

I would suggest disconnecting the hose at both ends before blowing it out.

Glad you were there to help your friend Wilson, that could have been pretty bad. I had a similar experience with battery fluid, but rather than it being blown out, I was just pouring in more water and it splashed out on my face and clothes. A quick run to the sink prevented any physical problems. (My pants didn't fare so well.) I never did understand how or why it did that, as it was a simple pour from a jug into the opening. (I'm more careful now...)
