Default Leather dye for seats

Anyone have good results from dying the seats to take out the stress lines?

I've restored leather via painting with SEM Classic Coat since every car I've had didn't have dyed seats. Is the original leather dyed or coated?

I agree with LeX2K - SEM has a perfect match for my "ecru" interior. I used it about 2 years ago on my front seats and it has lasted this long.

Tell us more. I would love to get the door armrest recolored. But I was afraid that the stitching would get colored too.

I took out the seats so I had more room to work.
Unfortunately, you will get dye on the stitching.
My car is a daily driver (2002) so the seats get lots of use.
I needed a quick fix until I replaced the whole shell with a generic seat cover or had them custom made...2 years later, I might just spray them again.

I think if you take your time and tape up the area you could get away with not dying the stiches.
Good luck
