2002 sc430 radio issues
I am having issues with my radio fuse(30 amp under hood) blowing as soon as I insert a new one with key off and radio completely unplugged. Has anyone else had this problem? What other components are running through this fuse? Any help would be much appreciated. New member on here.

That fuse is not switched, i.e., it's hot all the time. In addition to the radio, that fuse also has the amplifier and trunk Nav DVD unit.
Sounds like a short in the wiring somewhere - but I'm guessing you already knew that much.
Oh, and the wiring diagram suggests to me it has something to do with the power antenna relay too.

If it is a new issue, did u have any work done to your car recently? Did you put in a new alarm or stereo or anything like that?
Since it is a "Hot all the time" fuse, it is a prime target to attach new equipment to. Possibly some of that new equipment is wired wrong

Can you remind me which fuse it is? That way we can google what else is on it.
Also, does you car alarm currently work?

I was working on other things not the car. The fuse is the 30 amp under the hood. Not sure about the alarm as I never use it

I would try your alarm. I think it is on the same fuse, but don't know what for sure.
Like @oneround said, you are trying to find out what is shorting on that fuse.
If you want to see if it is the radio, you can disconnect the radio and amp and put in a new fuse and see if that keeps it from blowing. If it doesn't blow, plug in your amp. If it doesn't blow, plug in your radio. Once it blows, you know the last thing that you plugged in is the problem

A quick update. Haven't been able to get back to the car yet. My wife had knee replacement and I am playing nurse maid right now. So not much time to get back into the car yet.
