Default My SC keys

When I bought my SC, it came with only one key. Fear of losing the only keys and got locked out with key inside, I bought few keys from Amazon and got them cut by the locksmith and programmed them using Techstream. Keys cost under 30 bucks each, 20 bucks for each key cutting and zero for programming,
And here they are

My keys

No. 1 Master key

No. 2 Master key

Valet key

Spare key. Just for opening doors. Hid in front bumper in case my key and wallet locked inside car.

My wallet credit card spare key. In case of key locked inside car.

Gosh I've been thinking of this.
I do not have Tech Stream. Debating whether or not to just bite the bullet & have the stealer I mean dealer do another master 2.0.

J, you just have the key cụt by the locksmith, and program it by open and close door method.

Just remember there are two parts to the programming, This is the sequence that worked for me:

Key (immobilizer) Programming
  1. Close all doors.
  2. Insert an already programmed master key into the ignition.
  3. Turn the key from the OFF to On and back OFF FIVE (5) times.
  4. Open and close the driver's door SIX (6) times.
  5. Remove the key from the ignition.
  6. Insert the new key you want to program into the ignition.
  7. Wait 1 minute. The security light will be blinking for this one minute. When it stops blinking your key is programmed. To end programming step on brake one time.
Remote Control Programming
  1. Close and lock all doors. Unlock and open driver's door.
  2. Put key into ignition and remove TWO TIMES.
  3. Close and open the driver's door TWO TIMES.
  4. Put key into the ignition and remove.
  5. Close and open the driver's door two times.
  6. Put key into the ignition. Close the driver's door.
  7. Turn ignition ON then OFF ONE TIME- this will put the car in ADD mode for your remote. (Turning the ignition ON then OFF TWO TIMES will ADD the remote but will erase all existing remotes.)
  8. Remove the key from the ignition. The door locks will cycle one time (or two if you are erasing) . On the REMOTE press and hold the LOCK and the UNLOCK button for 2 seconds. On the REMOTE press the LOCK button for one second. AT THIS POINT, the locks should cycle by themselves ONE time. This means the procedure was accepted. IF the locks cycle twice it has failed. IF this happens you must start over. Hold the remotes higher up for better reception.
  9. Open and close the driver's door. Put key in ignition and pull out. This will end programming.
Good luck!

Don't see why it wouldn't. Mine is an '07 and this process worked just fine.

I have never used the door method but I believe it works.

I know you can't program a key, unless you have a "master key" It won't work if you have a valet key or a key that isn't in the first position in your security module. Also I think they (1010 keys) may have a vested interest because they sell a "programming box"

I really like 1010 keys. They do a good job and have an excellent product.

I have tried, did not work with my 07 SC. I think, the open-close door method only works with pre 06 models. I could be wrong.

I was able to set up a key with the open close method on my '07 a week or so ago.

I had 1010Keys cut my Lexus keys via picture. It was really easy.

I had a BMW Key cut two weeks ago at a AAA (the roadside assistance people) Locksmith. They told me that very few locksmiths have the key cutter to do an internal cut
BUT it cost me $30 for each key cut, which sucks because that is what 1010keys charged me for the cut & Key
