Jim, most likely it’s not your horn, it’s your spiral cable. I hope I’m wrong on this.

You can certainly test your horn by apply +12v to the horn terminal. You will never know, may be it’s the horn.

Yes, that is the part number for the clock spring. It is what I put in my car about 3 years ago. I have a 2006.

Thankyou, I have one on the way. $13.50, who knew a Lexus part would be so cheap??
How much of a problem was the replacement, any tips?

Remember to disconnect your battery and discharge it to avoid the airbag deployment.

Jim,

The OEM part is like $300 from online Lexus vendors. Check the part number for your order. Or if you went aftermarket, hopefully the part is a good fit and works well for you.

My ex son-in-law, daughter finaly realiseed her error, kept paying $430 a piiece for water pumps in their geothermal HVAC system as they went out every 6 mo. There were four of them in the system. He would not let me replace them with Harbor Freight pumps that sold for $23 each. After the divorce, we replaced them, all four, for under $100 and three yers later they were still going strong...... I have worked as a mechanical/electonic/civil engineer and and never did I select parts by the height of their price. Sometimes by the dificulty of replacementt, but never by the maximum price.
