Default Can Nav door be disabled during startup?

I'm wondering if there is a settings option that will keep the navigation door closed when the vehicle is started. I am not interested in disabling the navigation system or doing any wiring or fuse changes. I have read that if you close the navigation door when the vehicle is turned off, it will remain in that state next time the vehicle is started; that is not working in my case. 2010 model. Thanks.

In my 07, close the door and turn off engine. It will not open til I hit open. Only bad thing is the back up cam is also disabled. How about disconnecting the fuse?

This process does not work on my 2010, nor is there a backup camera. I am not interested in disconnecting fuses since it would disable the entire nav system and possibly other things; I just want to keep the nav door closed until I press the Open/Close button.

Were any of the SC430s delivered with backup cameras or are these aftermarket?

This is a true statement, I do not know if it applies to the 2010. My gut instinct is that this is a changeable setting and someone went to the dealer and had it changed. If you know someone with techstream, you can probably get them to change it back

Nope. There is no such thing in TechStream for the SC. I looked.

I know that on the 07 when I set the destination in the navigation and have not completed reaching my destination, the next time I start up the car, it will open the navigation door as if the car thinks I'm still on my way.

What I do is end the destination or delete it, and it solves the issue.
