Immobilizer reset
I'm ready to send off my ECU for remapping. It has the same part number as the OEM. I thought it would be good idea to install it and reset the immobilizer, then I would know I can start the car when it comes back. I jumpered 4 and 13 turn the key to run (not running) wait for 30 min. Turn off key remove jumper turn key to start. I don't get a start. Did I do it correctly? Is there another procedure? I tried it twice. I'm trying a 45 minute wait now for my last try. If that doesn't work I guess I'll put the OEM back in.

the immobilizer should be looking for a synced half code or something like that from the key to complete the correct “handshake”
can you run TechStream and sync the key to the immobilizer?
then again, I may be totally out in left field

Here's the procedure I have (slight difference in sequence from how you described):
1) disconnect the negative cable off battery
2) remove the oem ecu, plug in the new modified ecu.
3) connect the negative back on the battery
4) insert key in ignition, and key on (engine off)
5) on the obd2 port under the driver side dash, jump terminal pin 13 (TC) and pin 4 (CG) for 30 minutes (put a timer on).
6) the cluster gauge will start flashing during the 30 minutes.
7) after the 30 min is up, key off and remove key from ingntion. Then remove the jumper wire from pin 13 and pin 4.
8) insert key back in ignition and start engine right away.

Just what I did, three times. I threw in 45 min. try also. Each time it started and died. Would not restart. OEM started right up, thank goodness I didn't screw it up. I want to verify the new ECU is in good running condition and not DOA before I send it off. I did send an email to Quantum, no reply yet.
