I believe my gas mileage has been reduced by about 20% due to an increase in methanol in the gas. I just finished my 150k mile maintenance and then some. My average mpg displays about 22.5 mpg going down hill. I just filled up my tank last night to see my actual mileage. But I'm getting reports of others experiencing reduced gas mileage too. My buddy from work drives a truck and he is not happy. Their killing us out here. $6.10 premium last night in SoCal. And that's the cheapest quality gas you can find. Just curious if anyone else noticed?

if it makes you feel better, I average about 15-16mpg using the actual fill up and miles driven.

i haven’t really noticed but here’s another data point for you from my last fill up at costco, $5.99/gal here in norcal.
i averaged just over 17mpg in mixed city/highway cruising (mostly city). as an “old retired guy”, i don’t need a daily driver. 🤗

SoCal has very large hills/mountains and valleys so my readings certainly won't match someone say, in the Mid West. Where the earth is flat. My OVERALL average according to the Mileage Tracker in the FREE CARFAX Car Care App. for Android and iphone, is 21.5 mpg. So, it is what it is I guess. I can track it again in the winter when they change the formula again and see what happens then.
Status of my vehicle is as follows: 2002, 154,900 miles. No check engine lights, no codes (DTC).
Tires: Hankook Ventus S1noble2 245/40ZR18 97W with approximately 13K use and approximately 36K tread life remaining. (Their OK. No complaints.)
Air Filter: NAPA Gold changed 9k miles ago.
Recently changed spark plugs (8) , Denso Coil Packs (8) and B1 S2 and B2 S2 oxygen sensors changed.
Observations? She runs very nice. :-)
Other observations? Before I changed the O2 sensors, my "Average MPG" displayed on the Multi-display, which updates every ten seconds was all over the place. The numbers displayed for average MPG were almost never the same from each refresh. Yes, nothing here is flat. But now, the reading is rock steady. Unless I am traveling up or down a particularly large hill/mountain, the display is mostly unchanging.
My readings from previous mileage checks were from back in 2019 and they were different by about 1-2 mpg lower from now. Yep. I fixed something that wasn't broken again!. LOL. But I just call that maintenance. So, there you go. Take it for what its worth.
