Wife's key fob (SC430) finally cracked and needed to replace the case. After spending enough time on the forums, I found the typical case/shell that looks like our fob....only to find most folks had significant issues w it not fitting properly due to a very tight fit of the metal key into the slot of the case.......long story short... I bought one anyway and also found it cracked due to the poor fit and I did not want to grind away at the plastic or the metal key. So, after more time on the forums found that an LS400 owner used the Stauber fob shell. It looks different, but is a slam dunk and fit perfectly without any grinding or using a shim provided.
Bottom line , save yourself some frustration and order the Stauber fob. It took 3 minutes to install. The ONLY drawback is that there is no indication what the button does, so I got a scriber or pinpoint solder iron to inscribe, lock, unlock, trunk....
