SC430 headlight restoration with question

I bought the 3M film off Amazon. The width looks like just enough to have maybe 1cm extra on each side of the widest parts of the SC light. I tinted some windows of our house with mirrored tint and they turned out great. I know they are flat and square, but the principle is the same. I will practice on an RX before doing the SC. The RX headlights have a more pronounced bump on them so if I can smooth those out (I have a heat gun) I think it will be fine. In the worst case, I can always peel it off and try with a new piece. To me it's not as scary a prospect as the sanding was. But before doing that, I plan to bake the SC headlights open and maybe add angel eyes around the projectors. I read putting them in the oven will melt the 3M film.
For the crazing, after further research and watching some videos from this guy:
I guess it doesn't go away and it's a bad idea to touch the inside surface. I still need to open them to get a dead moth out of one. I can't imagine how it ever got inside there. I was going to blast it out with an air nozzle but I'm glad I didn't try that.
Someone who sees the car regularly saw it today and thought I purchased new headlights. I told them I sanded and polished them. "Oh, I heard about some special cream you just wipe on and wipe off. It's supposed to work like magic!"
