Default Looking for a derelict Nav unit

Greetings and salutations,

I'm embarking on a development of a Raspberry Pi based Android Auto unit to replace the nav screen in my '07 SC.

This will be a long term development as I really don't have space/time to do the actual installation until the spring, but I want to do all the dev work now in preparation.

I will do a detailed build thread, but to encompass the project probably not today.

I've got a plethora of bits and bobs and the plan is to build the thing around the standard RPi touchscreen and Open Auto Pro.

What I'd like to start looking at, is the physical interface in the car.

If anyone has a complete derelict nav unit (electronics, frame, screen, door, etc) that they would like to sell or perhaps loan, please let me know.

I would to disassemble it, model the appropriate bits in SolidWorks and then design a 3D printable mounting interface.

At that point I could send the reassembled nav unit back to the generous benefactor.

Obviously, if it's a loan, I would be more than happy to pay shipping on both ends.

Please let me know if you have a unit that I could use for this purpose.

Chris

I have one that I removed from my 2006 SC. It works fine but I believe the door motors are toast. I ordered 2 new door motors but then decided that the job was more that my skills would allow. I would be up to providing it to use on loan with the hope you could replace the 2 motors while you are designing your replacement and bring it back to fully functional. Thoughts
