I have a VaisTech SLI cable I was using in my 02 SC430 with my SLU. If you have a SLU you can feed audio through RCA cables but still need to use a seperate charger for the iPod. This cable will feed audio to your SLU and charge your iPod all with the same cable.

what is this cable used for? is this the whole system that would allow me to hear my ipod in my 04 sc430? look forward to ur reponse

You can only use this cable with a VaisTech product. The only product that works on older SC430's is the SLU but it does not come with this cable.

It will work with iPods & iPhones BUT.... It will not charge a 3G iPhone. The 3G iPhone (I believe) charges off a 5v signal and this cable feeds a 12v signal. It should still feed sound but the whole point of this cable is sound and charging with one cable. This cable is not all you need to hook your iPod up tp your car. You still need to have the VaisTech SLU. The SLU does not come with this cable though.
