F-sport seats, comfortable?

We can probably determine at which BMI (body mass index) is appropriate for this car. A posted mentioned 5'8" 175lb is an average build, but a BMI of 26.6 is overweight (sorry poster who I am trying to keep anonymous). "Average" in Mississippi vs. Connecticut are two different things.
I am 5'10" and have a BMI of 23 and the seats are perfect for me. Some Japanese engineer probably designed the seats using the same data lol

I am about 5'11", 160 lbs. pretty well all my life except when I was in army boot camp. IMO, seat preference is individual thing. Too comfy seat makes my body ache.
I always prefer pretty firm seating. In case of my wife when she chooses her own car, most important thing is the seat. She won't buy a car if she does not like the seat.

Just curious, what is uncomfortable about them for you? May I ask your height and weight? They certainly aren't long road-trip seats but I am surprised a normal sized person finds them miserable.
I have never heard anything but compliments from my passengers about how cool or comfortable the seats are.

I also worried about the wear factor getting in and out over the side seat "wings" on the F-Sport.

Outer bolster(passenger side). Both seats look like this, with the drivers side being a little more pronounced. From squishing in when people slide into the car. I do really like the shape of the f-sport seats tho.

Mine are already starting to show definite deformation. Black interior, 8000 miles.

The closest Lexus equivalent to BMW X5 seats would on F-sport models. I find the seats on my F-sport the most comfortable seats in any car I have tried. We have MB GLE 350 and RX F-sports seats are by far more comfortable and supportive.

That would be a deal breaker for me. I found the FSport seats unbearable as did my wife and we're normal sized body types.

Wow! By the looks of this thread, seat comfort is definitely subjective.
I'm not on the slim side, but I do find the F-Sport seats quite comfortable. The bolsters support me nicely, which is a big plus during hard turns; prevents sliding around on the seat. I much prefer firmer seats for a sportier driving style.
My 6' 4" husband, on the other hand, would prefer the bolsters to be spaced farther apart. But he claims he's reasonably comfortable, even on our long road trips.

F Sport Seat Discomfort
This is my 3rd RX and have to say the bottom portion of the seat on this model is a poor design. I also feel like I'm sitting on a park bench and it feels like there is metal bar that goes across the bottom at the point of most pressure. The rear seats have the same design however are many times softer and comfortable. I think its how the seams are stitched in the front along with how the leather is tied down to the skeleton or frame is causing this issue. I've sat in all Lexus models and all are much softer. I test drove a GS 350 F sport as i need a second car and thought I would have the same problem and not the case. The seat is very comfortable and I'm wondering if the bottom portion of that seat or possible an ES is compatible with the RSX for a direct swap? Some have commented in the thread that Mercedes , Bmw, Jaquar etc all have stiffer seats. I challenge that remark as they are all much softer to sit on. Im currently working on this issue with Lexus and a case manager has been assigned . I do have a feeling I will end up having this problem mitigated by a auto seat custom upholstery specialist .

This is all subjective - what's described as a poor design for person A is likely perfect for person B. TEST DRIVE.

I like my f-sport seats, secure feeling and I don't find them hard at all even on 500 mile days, however when I stop at the mail box, for example, getting in and out of the car over the bolster without moving the seat backwards is a pita. I would have been happy with the standard seats but I wanted the features of the f-sport especially the sport+ which I use on almost every ride.
