Default PSA For those running 19" wheels wanting 245 instead of 235 tires...

I remember a thread a while back regarding concerns switching from 235/40/19 to 245/40/19 tires and whether they will rub. Well if you're running 19's, I suggest these Hankook Optimos 245/40/19. I know they're not an ultra expensive brand but they look good on the wheel and don't rub, coming with a 70,000 mile warranty and rated somewhat decent as an all season tire...plus they help fill the wheel gap if not lowered. I'm definitely happy with them so far, especially pricing out at around $200 per tire. SN-I'm not lowered so not sure about rubbing if you're lowered. [Excuse the dirt and curb rash]

Is there a small number next to the word optimo? there are different series tires and some are great and some are real bad.

These are H426 (the only Optimos they seem to make in this size). Although the reviews were not too great, the biggest complaints I saw was in regards to snow traction. I don't have to worry about too much snow where I'm at and will be going a bigger size in the Spring so just using for the very mild winter months here. Definitely wouldn't recommend for an actual winter tire of course. I was more aiming towards the regards to whether the size would rub and I heard that with some brands the 245/40/19 rubs, whereas some brands it doesn't.

Perfect. I have those tires. Have been on them for 2 years now. Snow is HORRIBLE. Don't even try. Dry and wet are nice. The tire is quiet enough and wears quite well.

Well good thing I didn't get them for snow haha. Thanks! Good to know that otherwise all is pretty well with them.

Most welcome. They came stock on my K900. I have 19k miles on them now and they seem like they can go another 20k or so

I’m running BFGoodrich GForce Comp-2 A/S.

Front: 245/40/19
Rear: 275/35/19

Not lowered. No rubbing. 10k miles no problems. Tires have great grip and stability, but definitely not cheap.

I looked at some BF Goodrich and Michelin too actually. I plan on moving to 20's in the Spring but absolutely needed tires now so I didn't want to break the bank too much lol.

I’m still on factory F-Sport 19’s. I believe these are the correct wheel specs for my car.

Front: 19X8 +45
Rear: 19X9 +60

JW, would you mind posting a full on side proile pic panned out one day when you get a chance? Curious to see how big of a difference the heightened side wall makes when looking at it completely perpendicular? I
