Lexus SC 300 1999

I don't know where you all are finding clean 80k mile SCs for $5k. The few times I have seen local clean SCs w/ 70-80k miles pop up for sale, they were in the $8.5-11k range (especially '99/'00). From the pics posted, car appears to be in overall good condition and I think the price is very reasonable.
Maybe the ones who are finding these clean/low miles/no rust SCs for around $5k can post them up for the rest of us to purchase?

I mean sure, you could always find another SC with similar miles, care and records but would searching for another 6 months to maybe save $4-500 be worth it? No. This is super clean and as it may not be the cheapest one out there, its local to you and it all checks out, I say go for it. BUT, if you're gonna mod it and stance it out, go find an older example with 200k for $1500 and then put the other $5k in the mods.

I paid close to 10 for my 98 black on black with 83k and one owner always serviced at the local Lexus. When talking about 2-3 grand, I'll easily pay that for an old car I know hasn't been through the ringer. My interior is almost showroom clean, and while the paint isn't perfect it's very close to it.
Honestly, at anything under 10 grand is subjective to the buyer. 10 grand isn't a lot of money these days considering the quality of car you get and if it's low mileage and has a good history. Virtually any old good condition car should fetch around 10 as anything lower means there are problems you have to fix generally.

Ok just for reference, here is a 98 SC300 that is currently on sale in Sarasota, FL. I know were not allowed to post craigslist links here so here is a snapshot. There are interior pictures as well and it looks mint. That is something that i would consider a good deal. Though i would still find something to bring it down to a clean $5k.
