That large white inverter is obnoxious. I just tucked this above the overhead console.

:-) That is actually my state “Lexus Lane” carpool pass. I have thought about getting one of the models that mount to the top of the front license plate frame. I use among several cars so haven’t bothered yet.

Unfortunately, it has to be mounted in that location.

edit: You made me go look at cost. Only $12...only challenge will be finding some longer screws to co-exist with my Weathertech plate covers.

I have the Lexus Lane here as well and received a white RFID strip. Many don’t know that it is not necessary as the cameras will read your license plate. I have had no problems so far with not useing it.

Problem here is if RFID device isn’t in carpool mode you will be charged. Usually driving corridor I have my wife at an hour 2 or more people are free. I’ve tested driving solo in single mode and I get charged. There are spots along the corridor you get flashed with these purple lights. Pass has a slider piece that under carpool mode I assume shields the RFID tag.

Yeah I don't carpool. We had a tollbooth and have a fast lane that you pay for convenience depending on traffic flow the so cost fluctuates. I do use the carpool lane to pass cars between the cameras.

We'll see if this works to trick Garmin into thinking it has OEM power cord but I picked up one of these adapters. I'm gonna cut open with utility knife, solder in the 18K ohm resistor between pins 4 and 5, bore it out if needed to accommodate the resistor and glue back together. I wanted cord plug to come down from the top anyway. Hopefully this addresses my mass storage notification when it boots up.

EDIT: These connectors were a bust as all the small wires were encased in a solid plastic core once I cut off the black outer covering.

Ordered one of these off of eBay... it should be far easier to tap in the resistor on pins 4&5.

No. Just the single center console. Top pieces are just the sliding armrests.

I didn't realize Lexus sold a branded dashcam (looks like it went on sale 9/2017)

Just out of curiosity why didn't you ground this on that bolt right next the the fuse box instead of running through the firewall?

Never mind, just answered my own question. Looks both fuse/relay boxes are by the engine?

These are the add-a-circuit that I used. They are the proper ones that hold the mini ATM fuses that our trucks use.

I chose to use the interior fuse box, the load on my dashcam was low enough that I didn't feel the need to pull wires all the way to the engine bay but your results may vary. My dash cam has 3 wires, ground, always on and a switched on so I had to use 2 of the add-a-circuits to enable the parking mode. The only downside was that I was unable to reuse the interior fuse cover so I just threw the cover into the glove box since it has the fuse diagram on it.

Great, thank you. I had the VIVO dash cam on my old 4runner and ran it to the inside fuse box (add a fuse) and had no problems what-so-ever.

Invisicord install is so much easier to the Homelink mirror.

You can purchase a fused version as well.

My mirror is wired but the homelink is in the upper console. How do you wire this from the mirror? Do I have to cut any original wiring?

Those plastic pieces from mirror to console come up pretty easy.

Blue wire you find behind is positive and black is negative. No cutting with invisicord. They slide in next to the wire terminals on side wire enters the plug. Easily removable as well. You will be plugging Invisicord into connector behind the top removable plastic cover.

Check out this thread

I had my wire come out from the top where the plastic pieces connect with the roof liner area.

Watch guy pull covers over quickly around 6:20 on this windshield replacement video.
