I have usually replaced mine with sealed ones like optima, any reason that you wouldn't choose one of them?

I would go with the OEM battery. I am still on my original battery on my 06 GS300, going on 8 years and I live in the Las Vegas desert. The dealer price is $140 installed, which I think is not bad based on my experience with car batteries. I had an Optima in my previous vehicle that barely lasted 4 years and cost more. I believe the OEM battery is an Interstate, according to the dealership service department. I put an Interstate in my 96 Impala that I drive, maybe once a month, and it starts right up every time.

Id go with any battery with 700ccA or greater , Group size 24F

The biggest supplier of auto batteries is Johnson Controls, next largest is Deka, then they are relabeled to any house brand.

The Everstart Maxx at Walmart is probably the best deal currently, includes a 3 year free replacement and additional pro-rating 2 years after. Look out for the warranty per reseller distributor, slowly they are only offering 3 year free replacement.

as another fyi, if you have a Sears diehard and having problems, they charge $20 for diagnostic if its in the car, free if you bring only the battery.

Is this the same deal as Costco?? I think Johnson makes their batteries. I think for 24F it is about $85. 3 years free replacement. 100 month limited warranty (prorates after 36 mo). I have my original battery and want to know if the Cost fits and is a decent deal.

Exclamation Lexus OEM Battery 11 years old! Swapping How-to Guide

My original 2006 Lexus GS300 car battery is still working and it's 11 years old. It only pulls 258 CCA (cold cranking amps), so I finally did the research and swapped it. It must be Christmas because I'm hooking you guys up with my complete how-to guide, how to test your cold cranking amps, how to trickle charge your batteries, and what the original Panasonic 80D26R Lexus GS car battery goes for !

ENJOY!!!

This is the battery size spreadsheet I made for my 06 Lexus GS300. I went with group size 34, but still had to mod it as seen in my how-to video.
When I was bored once I looked up the cost of a replacement car battery for the GS and my jaw dropped. But, my GS battery lasted 11 years!

This is the battery recommended to me by a Lexus Certified Master Technician (think LFA) as well as an Acura/Honda Certified Master Technician (think original NSX).

Lets try this link: https://www.pepboys.com/product/details/844459/

If that doesn't work, simply search for "Bosch 24F AGM"

EDIT: Link doesn't work when linking from ClubLexus...SMH.

Simply use the search term above. 710 CCA at 0 degrees, 810 at 32 degrees.

Possible reasons:

1. The battery is DOA.
2. While connecting the terminals, you accidentally switched polarity and fried master fuse.
