Talc is the best thing that I can think of.

What is prompting you to seek for a lubricant?

The seals will crack over time especially where you live. Two options. Lubricate with 303 Protectant. It is very easy. Just spray on rag and wipe seals about every six months. Option two is harder but more effective and will last longer. Lubricate with Shin-Etsu grease from Honda. Amazon has it for $16 for a tube that will last ten years.

Do any of the add on applications attract grime and dirt and do they tend to transfer to clothing?

Still waiting for OP to state what problem is being addressed.

Thank you all for the replies. My intention was to give some protection to the rubber gasket during the cold winter months. I was thinking of a thin film of Vaseline might help.

You are looking for treatment/protectant product. Keep in mind you will be applying it predominantly on 1 side and if you are aggressive maybe 3 sides.

AS303 works! Please do not use Vaseline.

Vaseline damages rubber. I would use what's been previously suggested.
