Default GX470/truck

I'm contemplating either trading in the GX470 on a truck, maybe first gen Tundra or chopping the back off the GX and adding a truck bed. I wish Lexus made a GX470 pick-up with all the GX options. I'd hate to get did of the GX, but I really have the need for a truck bed and the practicality of it. Anyone else have this delema? Anyone chop their GX470 and make it a 4 door truck?

Why not buy a cheap utility trailer? I have been using a harbor freight folding trailer for 8 years without problem. When stored it only has a 2x5 ft footprint

+1 for trailer.

Or trading for a pickup.

I've never used a fold up trailer. Will they haul much?

I'm starting to lean towards a 2005 or 2006 double cab Tundra though. Or, CHOP THE GX470 INTO A TRUCK!!

Pick up a utility trailer... my current one I bought new has a 3500 lb axle and was only $1400 new when I bought in '12. It is a 5x8 trailer.

EDIT: Drop a 2K lb energy log pallet in this and it doesn't even flinch....
