Default SC430 New Style TPMS Sensors

Just a quick note for those of us that continue to maintain the SC430's TPMS in proper working order.
I recently damaged a TPMS sensor while installing new tires. It was the Yellow sensor, so I ordered a new one online from a Lexus dealer. The sensor I received looked a bit different than the ones in the car and the replacements I've gotten before. The part number was new, too. Below are some photos. Note that instead of the common paint dab, it is now in letters. I needed the Yellow sensor and it was marked YEL. The old part number for the Yellow sensor was 42607-24040. The new part number is 42607-24041.

Thanks Floptop. I'm guessing that the new part wasn't any cheaper, right?

I wish it was less. Minor slip of the bead breaker resulted in a bent valve stem. On the brighter side, the Yellow sensor was my oldest at around 10 years. Total price delivered was $66.21. It is reassuring to know that production hasn't ceased and fresh units are still available. Think they stopped using this version sensor in 2006.

Price sounds about right. I paid $240 for all four sensors delivered when I replaced year and a half back. On line order from a Lexus dealer in the southwest of the country

Looks like Bgw70 got the new style sensors back in November. Same dealer, too! Going to install and program my new one this weekend.

i did a “programming the TPMS sensors”, see link below. I know you all ready know how to do it...just thought I would share with you...I should have replaced all four when my first one went bad, lesson learned.
These sensors are expensive compared to the newer Lexus models but it is worth the money to me. My wife is the primary SC430 driver and it gives me more comfort when she is out driving.
