2006 sc430 center wheel caps
Has anyone replace the chrome center caps with chrome with a gold L. I have been looking but can not find ones for the sc430. Will any of the other Lexus models center caps fit the 2006 sc430. Thanks for any replies.

Mine came that way, at least by the time I obtained it. (I'm owner #3 but obtained it when it was 4 years old. It is a 2002.) So they are available, though I don't know from where. I'm guessing that Lexus can supply them. The symbol on the grill and the trunk are also gold colored. (My car recently debadged itself of the grill symbol, so I need to find the proper glue to reattach it.)

Is your wheel a Lexus wheel? Mine are stock Lexus wheels (or at least stock at the time). The center piece is a Lexus piece. So I'm guessing that if your wheel is a Lexus wheel, the gold center piece would be available. If not, check ebay.

Gold centre caps
The hints to the answer are in early replies.
The front, rear and wheel badges are GOLD. This was never factory OEM. Someone has paid for electro gold- plating of the badges at some point in the cars' life. This is a reasonably inexpensive option but pulls the car away from original......

....try AGW.com or you might search Automotive Gold Warehouse (800 237 8666) or (972 238 8666), they were located in Richardson, but have a new location. These guys use to supply all the gold packages to most dealerships in Dallas, including Sewell Lexus. I've done business with them, in the past also. I don't think there is a center cap with the gold "L" available, but you will have to get a center cap without the emblem, then purchase the gold "L" separate......I could be wrong, but I think this is how the dealerships do it. I've bought emblems from them & had to apply them myself. I actually still have a couple of chrome "L" sets for wheels in my garage. Here is a brush chrome "L" that I purchased from them & applied to after market wheels

Gold badges - electroplating
I saw the invoice for the "Gold Package". I believe that this is an electroplating service that can be done on the car. I have had many car badges gold plated on my cars with NO damage to the surrounding paintwork. There is not a secret stockpile of gold Lexus badges hidden in a warehouse somewhere. Watch the video below which shows how it is done. It can be done on your car in the driveway.
It is real gold, albeit very small amounts, used to plate the badges. I have two cars that are now over seven years old and the gold plating is still shiny as new......
Where I live, in Australia, there are several gold electroplaters that offer home service for on-car badges.....
Watch this;
My final comment is that gold badges on the SC430's are not OEM (not from Lexus factory). They were offered aftermarket by some dealers. There is an argument to not do it if you are trying to keep the car original so you can win the next Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance

.....the electroplating is what AGW (post #8) does, but they don't do it on site. They have OEM emblems already plated (chrome, gold, brushed, black chrome, etc...) & at their old location, they kept a stockpile of emblems for Lexus & other makes also

These hub dust covers are held in place by pressure clips. But not sure yours are OEM or a knockoff. Don’t see production markings on yours in the photo.
