stand behind it all you want, the C&D instrumented test demonstrates you were incorrect regarding each one of your assertions. instead of admitting your statements were premature, perhaps now is the time for you to once again whine & cry for a moderator to intervene, it's what you do best
congratulations corrado, look forward to hearing your driving impressions!
How was I incorrect? Motor Trend substantiated what I said. I stand corrected. Even when compared against a less powerful BMW 430i Grand Coupe the Stinger GT loses to it.
Thanks to all for the well wishes received. Was not an easy decision for a Lexus enthusiast like me. I will report on driving impressions once I get to add miles to the Stinger!
As for the RC F, it was a very special car with its tank-like solidity, aural V8 sounds, head-turning looks, and compliments I got with every drive. That will be missed.
Here's a last set of photos I took just before letting her go. And I never drove it out in the rain, let alone on snow with frigid temps on Michelin PSS but had to on this day! Thankfully, just a 5 min drive to the dealer from home.
Hi guys - thanks for the congrats! Also, not surprised on some of the "incredulous" reactions and I totally understand. I had the same knee-jerk reaction just thinking about "a Kia in my driveway?"
For perspective, as a couple of you may know, I am coming from several years owning many luxury cars, mainly Lexus as I was (and still am) a huge fan ever since inception in 1989. However, as with anything in life to not miss out on any opportunities, you need to have an open mind or you risk losing out. The Stinger is such the case. The numerous glowing automotive reviews nudged me enough drive into a Kia dealer to go check it out for a test drive. Needless to say, as MM has stated above, check it out first before jumping the gun solely on the badge (as I initially did).
I had fun with the RC F. It's a special car with its melodious V8 and near-exotic-head-turning styling that the Stinger will not ever match. However, the fact is I rarely used it in 2 years. It was in my garage 90% of the time during summer (never saw rain), and 100% in my garage during 4 winter months. I barely put on 5k miles in 2 years! With its departure (and IS also that I lease transferred to a separate buyer), I get to free up my garage and have access to a daily driver with 5-door/AWD practicality, tech, and performance to boot.
the condescension is palpable, particularly how you reference the rcf by its model and the stinger just as a 'kia'. it's like you'd read on a bmw forum 'you traded in an m3 for a lexus?'

I actually said congrats in an earlier post and complimented the Stinger. My reaction would be the same if he posted that he traded in the RCF for a BMW 330i Msport.RCF is a special car and leagues above a Stinger.
