Very interesting. The NHTSA says my 2011 GX 460 is under this recall. Last time I went to the local Stealer, they said it wasn't.
I'm wondering if they are still looking at the Zone in which it was first retailed, which was C. However, now it resides in Zone A.

GB2011GX: It goes by first retailed... you may want to contact Lexus directly and tell them you are now in a Zone A and if repair can be expedited. Mine came from a Zone A and I live in a Zone C

Update:
Dear Lexus US (via web portal contact):

I went to the local dealer to inquire. The lady looked up my VIN. She said my 2011 GX 460 was not involved in the Warranty.
On Club Lexus Forums, I read where the deciding factor is where it was originally retailed. Mine was in Zone C, but has been in Zone A for quite some time.
The NHTSA says my vehicle is to be covered. As it is now in Zone A, and is in a hot and humid climate, should it be rescheduled with the other 2011 Zone A vehicles?

My VIN is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

I would seriously be distraught if we had a cabin explosion of the enactuator while my wife was driving... especially after being proactive and inquiring with my local dealership.
Your consideration of my concern and a response would certainly be appreciated.

This is the response I received this morning:

Dear Mr. "GB2011GX" : Thank you for contacting Lexus. We apologize for any confusion and appreciate the opportunity to provide clarity. We have checked your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and determined that your 2011 GX 460 is involved in the following Special Service Campaign(s) (SSC), which is outstanding:

GLG - Multiple Models and Model Years Takata Front Passenger Airbag Inflator (Zone A)

We also invite you to visit our web site http://www.lexus.com/recall and enter your 17-digit VIN to verify your vehicle has no outstanding recalls.

Please contact your local Lexus dealer to schedule an appointment to have the outstanding SSC completed.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters under file #xxxxxxxxxx. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,

L. P.

Good info.

Were you able to get your vehicle in for repair? I think anyone with a '10-'13 who purchased used needs to look at their vehicle history and see if originally sold in Zone A.

Finally got the Service Manager's email and sent him a copy of the above. I also told them I needed them to perform some of the 90,000 mile service.
A Service Advisor called me yesterday and scheduled us for next Thursday. She offered a loaner too!

I just have this recall done on my 2013 GX 460. After picking up the SUV, I noticed a gap between left front dash speaker cover and the top dash. I assumed that they didn't put back the dash trim pieces correctly, but the service manager said they didn't take off the top dash. He said they only took off the glove box and replace the airbag. Can you guys confirm if the replacement procedure? From a online doc I found, the procedure needs taking off every dash trim. I suggest you take pictures of the dash before send your car in.

After being in dash for MTS module replacement I can't see why anything other than glove box removal would be needed to replace this. Almost seems like a TMI of how things are assembled on the dash. That being said... that still doesn't account for how your trim ended up like. It doesn't look like you can simply push it over to close the gap either as lower area is already lined up.

The speaker sound is fine and the cover seems secure when I pressed on the cover. Since the dealer wouldn't touch it, I'll see if I can fix it myself by reinstall the cover. Thanks for all the information received. I'm still puzzled by why I saw it now since it is very noticeable when I'm in driving position.
