Wrapped my door panels: before and after
Thanks to this forum I was able to find a local shop that had just wrapped 2 door panels for a fellow member and he gave them positive reviews, so I took my 2010 460L in and got it back this morning. I have never owned a car with black interior and have only had this car about 10 months, but I had to keep applying interior shine about every 1-2 weeks or my panels started looking absolutely awful (first pic) from hand/finger marks. I intentionally didn't apply any shine for about 4-5 weeks and took that pic- this is the front passenger area and that was by far the worst door panel of the four. My car is a late model '10 so I was hoping I was past the sticky door panel issue - I'm not sure if the prior owner used some sort of cleaner on them that stripped things away and made it look this bad or if this is the result of sticky door panels. Either way, I know this is not Lexus quality and it really bugged me looking at it as the shine/protectant would wear off.
Nonetheless, I paid $175/door and got them wrapped and am very happy with the result. Figured I'd show the pics to those who may be considering it. The color is slightly darker than factory but I knew there was no perfect match and also realized it would still look 100x better than before.

Thanks guys- I'm definitely happy with how it turned out. It seems the process of getting Lexus to honor putting new door panels on has been hit-or-miss (to be polite) and not sure of the cost to do it if they won't cover it. But for $700, I thought this was an excellent option for me and actually upgrades the look of the car in the process.

Looks great, especially compared to your before pic.

Glove box door is another source of frustration, although it looks way better than the pic I posted of the passenger door panel. I'm having the car detailed soon by a guy I've used for several years and am going to see what he recommends. I don't really know what to do about the glove box door - may be able to find one at a junk yard (??). For now, I'm fine using the interior shine product to keep that looking good but I'm certainly open to ideas. Has anyone priced that out from Lexus parts? Doesn't seem like it would be too expensive and really shouldn't be hard to replace.
