Am replacing all tail lamp bulbs in 1999 LS400.

Various incandescent bulbs, T3-1/4 to T6-1/4.

The color rendering of the lenses is not optimal and there are hot spots due to incandescent bulb filaments.

Am going to use Silikrome color filters to improve color rendering and diffusion.

Rear side lense illuminated - before.
Original T 3-1/4 lamp is blackened. Red Silikrome color filter next to it. Lamp to be replaced.
Silikrome color filter installed.
After installation...while the image doesn't do it justice, the side lense is true red and more uniform.
T 3-1/4 lamp iluminated with red color filter...
Very uniform with no filament hot spots.
