stand behind it all you want, the C&D instrumented test demonstrates you were incorrect regarding each one of your assertions. instead of admitting your statements were premature, perhaps now is the time for you to once again whine & cry for a moderator to intervene, it's what you do best
congratulations corrado, look forward to hearing your driving impressions!

You're mixing some old processes/numbers and not taking into account the changes. Yes, all Hyundai dealers, to date, were grandfathered in to selling the G80, because it was the Hyundai Genesis. Not every Hyundai dealer elected to make the changes required to sell the first Hyundai Equus. Then, as Genesis rolled out, similar Equus requirements were asked for G90 allocations. Again, not every dealer elected to do this.

I asked one of the two local KIA dealers about the K900. In order to sell the K900, they would have to change both their showroom arrangement and shop at a cost of more than $30,000. They elected to not be a K900 dealer. I assume Hyundai has similar requirements to sell the G90 and most dealers would decline due to low volume. The G70 will soon join the G80 and help the Genesis volume.
There is a you tube video showing the delivery of a Genesis in Canada in a glass sided van. Pretty impressive.

Thanks. 2-Door coupe is out as I wanted something more practical. Q50 is getting long in the tooth and its styling to me both in and out is not that exciting.
As for the others I considered to varying degrees:
- BMW nor MB interest me styling-wise (3/4-series and/or C-class)
- XE is cheap on the inside
- I had a '17 A4 eliminating the A5 as its very similar.
- TLX A-Spec (yawn - I'd get an Accord Touring over it)
- Giulia... well FIAT... and quirky looks do not appeal... (exception Quadrifoglio though not what I wanted to spend on a daily driver)
- G70 was the one I was going to go for but exterior styling is a derivative and on the conservative side.

I'm hoping to see John Davis at the D.C. show in a couple of weeks....but I haven't run into him in the last couple of years. He used to have a small booth on the upper floor, but Chevy and Buick recently expanded their displays into that space.

Saw a Kia Stinger in the flesh yesterday. As I said originally, very nice looking front end and front quarter views. The rear end is better than I originally thought, but still not nice enough for me. I will say that the back end looks better than a very similar looking Audi.
The profile view was acceptable to the back door and then it sorta went south for me. I didn't realize that the car is not that high - the roof looks squashed down (I know its the new rage, but not for me)
The inside fit and finish looked well above average, but not in the same league as a Lexus.
In summary - more decent looking than I originally thought, but not enough to write home about.
