I know this is a little off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread, but does the GX have similar chassis as the 4 runner? I read on another thread that a lift kit made for the 4 runner will work with the GX. Just want to be clear. Tia
The GX shares components, and thus you can take aftermarket stuff for the runner and put it to use on the GX. One member posted their Icon lift kit here if you search. Its always a plus if you dont have the rear air suspension
EDIT: Saw some 4Runner threads where one has to use a spacer on one side to prevent leaning if you go up 3 inches with a KDSS vehicle. Perhaps some others who have lifted can chime-in if this is the case on the GX.

I have the premium which doesn't have the air suspension.
"Toyota has also quashed rumours it will axe the popular SUV’s 63-litre sub-tank, which in addition to its 87-litre main tank brings fuel capacity to 150 litres.
That’s enough for a theoretical range of 1800km-plus and makes the 150-series LandCruiser Prado one of the few off-road SUVs able to undertake long-haul off-road treks like the Simpson Desert without the need to carry extra fuel."
I do like the look of it much better than the hideous front grill/bumper that we get here. Not sure the wife would care for the diesel, but I probably would. From the pictures, it looks like it may have a bit more ground clearance under the running boards. I have seen them in my travels over seas, but never really got to explore one closely. Although, except for s few locally desire changes, they are pretty much the same. Diesel vs gas, manual availability vs automatic. And all the safety stuff we get here might not be offered elsewhere in the world. As well as emissions stuff we get here. Sure would be fun, to have cars side by side from around the world to compare in person. Drive them etc.
I think this was discontinued years ago. Reminds me of what Isuzu did in the day with the Trooper. They used to have a 3 door version of that in the early 90's.
