How does your 2016/2017 RX350 AWD perform in snow?

Thanks guys for the info. I'm not too worried about deep snow because one would drive slow anyways. Besides, snow has traction. Icy hwy is what I'm concerned about because I do drive on the Canadian hwy on the prairies at times.

I am in Calgary and the AWD lock only works under 35 or 40 km/h (not sure exactly when it get disengaged). So it is good for getting out of stuck situation. RX is a heavy vehicle (compared to NX) so you have to drive with respect. I mean, once I started skidding, it slides faster than NX in my opinion.

RX450h Off-road
I may be one of the few folks who takes their RX offroad. Conditions were a few degrees below freezing with a few inches of snow overnight in the pictures below. The snow was crusty and not compressed. My RX450h F Sport is wearing OEM Michelin Premier LTX tires with 5/16th tread remaining at 33PSI. I was able to climb the hill until the grade turned to 15%, which is where the tires lost traction. Unfortunately we didn't get to test my friend's new F150 4X4.
Overall I am very pleased with the snow performance. The tires were ultimately the weakest link as they lost grip. I wouldn't advise leaving home without snow cables in these conditions however.
The hill going up and to the right
Can't climb past 15% grade

I almost got stuck twice driving 450h. I traded in. Altitude of the place is ~4500 feet.

Over snowy mountain passes I'd take the 450h over the 4X4 due to AWD and VDIM. One size does not fit all.

Yikes, you definitely bought the wrong car for the job. In those conditions I'd want a lifted 4X4 with at least 12" clearance, rugged tires, and tire cables. The RX only has 8" clearance so you'd be plowing snow if you didn't beach your car in at least a foot of snow.

Last night Over 12 inches of snow, and the lux rx450 chewed through it no problem.
htony had a 15 or older and for months said it was junk in the snow, not sure why they are here, but to State the same thing over and over

Soft snow is easy to drive on. I carry shovel and two bags of coarse sand in case. This week end I'm heading out to replace blower for the fire place. 2015 450h
had so called hybrid snow mode but now new ones do not have snow mode, I heard. IMO, regular RX will do just fine too with locking differential.
