Yup, I agree also. It's either incompetence or rushing because they're paid by the job.

Or in your case it could be inattention to detail. I think you need to take your mechanic to People's Court for that oil mess he created!

Yes I should! Sometimes, my mechanic sucks. But it would be Judge Judy. I just love me some Judge Judy.

I have opened my 2011 RX450H exhaust, here's what it looks like

Drilling some holes to see it helps

If I were you, I'd replace the canister and filter. The new updated canisters are metal as seen here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GENUINE-TOYOTA-Oil-Filter-Housing-Cap-Holder-15620-31060-and-Tool-WRENCH/191424197312?fits=Make%3ALexus%7CModel%3ALS460&hash=item2c91c572c0:g-kAAOSwH71XO5~a:sc:USPSPriority!98295!US!-1
So the updated ones are metal, what was there before? As i understand it when you change oil, you change the filter media and o-rings right? They come in a kit from toyota? You do not change the canister itself? So where does this part fit in? I am not about to change the oil myself but I do want to know what difference this makes.. and what I need to know.

And do they even fit the 2007? Because i check the part number listed and it came back as not compatible.
