While we are on the subject, it made me thinking on another feature that might be part of it. With Driver Support Package, the backup camera also come with the dynamic guide line, yellow overlay lines that turns with steering wheel. In order for that to work, one elements that is essential is the steering angle information. At same time, steering input is also needed for crawl control. Then, I have notice, for GX with Park Assist, the steering angle information is already available. Just look your multi-information in middle of cluster, when ever front sensor triggers, there will be a small graphic displayed your front wheel angle. On factory installed Driver Support Package, in crawl mode, you can activate front camera, with the path line displayed to guide you. That made me thinking, the guide line function, may be a part of drive support module. Just a wild thought. If switch panel and possible replacement of control module are reasonably priced, I would like to give a try to see what would happen.
The module in that bracket that I might be looking at is the telematic transceiver. I think module might be the one on the left where two sit side-by-side.
I didn't know the Driver Support Control unit came with that option:
I assume static lines came in ‘14 as absent on 10-13. Were dynamic lines available on luxury starting in ‘14 as well. I do like the dynamic lines...even my old ‘07 G35x has them on backup camera.

Static line appears from '14 and up. Dynamic line is part of Driver Support Package. from '18, Dynamic line is standard now.
Found the module and confirmed I only have 010 module. Pull off the soft padding area loose above the glove box. Don't try to remove entirely as the left side is attached to area to the left of the glove box and you don't need to remove to see part number. Make sure you use a trim tool so you don't scratch anything. This glove box doesn't seem like it would be difficult to remove. This module appears to be an easy swap. It's a fairly roomy area inside the dash.
Module is about directly behind where I put the asterisk on photo
If get down to level with trim piece and use a bright light shining through slot between glove box and piece above you can look through that small square hole for trim to left of asterisk and you can see through and see full info on module. I know picture is blurry but couldn't get my phone to focus right there.
Will give a try tomorrow to see the module part #. So, even without switch panel, it sounds like by swapping the module, you will get dynamic guide line on reverse and multi-tellan monitor in the center cluster display...... ?
To be honest really not sure. I do think MTS would require the new console switch but the guide lines could very well show up with the new module.
From operation manual, MTS is done through the steering wheel (right side) select switch when in 4-Low mode. Currently, GX without drive support package, the steering wheel select switch will have BSM and 2nd Gear start option by pressing the select switch. I am wondering if with 040 module, the MTS option will become available. As far as the console switch, it is essential to change the DAC to Crawl. Just a guess.......
There is a yard that has a few GX460's. Here is the link. They seem to have mostly 14+ premium and luxury trims.... The search for a Luxury trim with the 859A1-60040 module is not going well.
Acrad35751, you might find some of the parts images useful. Under "Console" you'll see some of the vehicles with the 4 different switches (airbag and suspension settings). I think it's the red GX that is the Luxury trim.
The driver support module is listed under Elec Chasis Control Module.
I've got a lead on a "new" 020 overseas that will be cheaper than a used one in US. I'll post details if it turns fruitful.
On the 070 console switch you need to find one with the ON/OFF button next to where DAC is. It won't say DAC but it will say Speed. This is the key on a driver support model as this is an add-on to the typical suspension/airbag model like I have in my Premium.
In addition..if there isn't a camera below the Lexus emblem on grille that is quick clue to move onto a different model.
EDIT: I notice that 020 price is going up... either currency or demand related.
This is a real gamble here but I decided to just pick up some new parts from Japan and UAE. Hopefully I don't mess up my GX too badly.
A few notes:
• 859A1-60040 is for export market only so only likely to find in US
• 84970-60070 is for export market too but you can purchase via a website I found in UAE
• 859A1-60020 can be purchased from a company in Japan . / You can purchase in US but price will be like $185-$220 + shipping
When I went here they were selling for 116.19 + around $7 shipping. I see price has now gone up to $138.72. A used dealer wanted $125 + $15 shipping. If you have a '10-'13 and want to try this out with me PM and I'll tell you which used parts dealer to goto. They wanted $200 for the console switch.
With 10% discount... it will be $272.14 shipped to me. Prices weren't far off from used and still quite a bit of savings from purchasing from a Lexus dealer. Of course this could all be for nothing too.
EDIT: You will come across some 10 and 31 models at prices in the $50-$100 range... you don't need this one as you already have this. I wouldn't expect to find a 20 or 40 under $100 for the Drive Support computer.
Still a little concerned the skid control computer on the master cylinder might trip me up.
Mine has a part number that doesn't match any of the existing units for sale. Mine has 89541-60350. I'm not trying to leverage the pre-crash functions of driver support so "fingers crossed" it might not matter...however we are talking about ABS use with crawl so I wouldn't say my confidence is high.
