The GS going further up market as sexy low roof true four door coupé based on the LC500 and the ES becoming the main stream midsize lexus that sells to people who don’t care about driving dynamics makes the most since to me. I hope that this rumor is true.

If the GS line does indeed come to an end, then when my lease is over and it's time for me to change my GS, I will either buy it (since it would be the last year of the GS, 2018, so it'd be good to buy) or I probably then just leave Lexus and go for an Audi or a MB. I dunno but Lexus is disappointing me lately with them killing the GS (if they do) and always falling short with the competition with the whole "reliability" excuse. I love both my Lexus cars but they need to step up their game and there is NO WAY I would replace my GS with a FWD or even AWD ES... maybe I'd look into an SUV like the GX but then again, I hear it is also getting the guillotine, so...

Well, my "SOURCE" tells me that they are not dropping the GS. They are upping the horsepower in 19 to 900 to compete with the Dodge Demon. This source works for CNN so, it has to be reliable.

I purchased my 2018 a few weeks ago. My salesman at first acted like he didn't want to sell me a GS. They only had about 6 on the lot, mind you big dealership mainly ES and RX sales though. At first he said Lexus won't be making GS anymore. I walked around the floor looking for the display and they didn't have one. So when i went back to his desk I said so looks like you are discontinuing. And he took back what he said earlier saying this particular dealer just has low sales and he doesn't know future GS plans.

I keep reading about how lexus is supposedly going to be putting the TT V8 from the new LC-F into the next Gen GSF/ISF/RCF.
I don't think they'll drop it, probably just a design and performance refresh

This can't be true. A guy at the bar said his nephews ex wife's former husbands niece's husband who used to work for Lexus said they're still gonna make it. I think the guy at the bar knows something we don't. Your dealer doesn't know any more than any other dealer does.

Auto Guide thinks that's the ES? But, then at the end they say it may be the Toyota Crown.
